MAS-100 Regulus®

Traceable MAS-100 calibration

MAS-100 Regulus® is your key tool for compliant microbial air sampling: Calibrated in our own ISO 17025-accredited laboratory and delivered with a certificate, the digital anemometer is the reliable reference for certified service partners and customers who calibrate their MAS-100 microbial air samplers themselves.

The MAS-100 Regulus tests, calibrates, and adjusts air samplers fully automatically. It measures either the air volume flow or the air mass flow, compensating for ambient pressure and temperature.

Precision. Always at hand.

With an airflow accuracy of ±1 L/min (50–200 L/min) or ±1.5 L/min (200–300 L/min), the MAS-100 Regulus sets new standards and provides optimal support for your contamination control strategy. Only when your measuring devices operate reliably within the specified tolerances can trend analyses, root cause investigations, and release decisions be truly reliable.

Each MAS-100 Regulus is calibrated at our ISO 17025 accredited service center in Stäfa and delivered with a corresponding certificate. The measurement chain from the digital anemometer to the airborne germ collector is therefore fully traceable.

The MAS-100 instruments calibrated with MAS-100 Regulus receive certificates documenting 'as found' and 'as left' values. This facilitates audits and makes airflow calibration a fully documented part of your quality system.

The MAS-100 Regulus calibrates most MAS-100 air samplers fully automatically within the tightest tolerances.

The process is very simple: connect the instrument to the computer and start calibration in the web browser or PC software. Done.

The MAS-100 Regulus compares the measured values with the specifications and automatically adjusts the air flow if necessary. The result is print-ready calibration certificates – with minimal manual effort and maximum standardization.

The MAS-100 Regulus is designed for long-term operation: specified for hundreds of calibrations, made of robust anodized aluminum, and delivered in a sturdy carrying case.

Impacts are detected and reported by an acceleration sensor, and a self-test detects damage to the impeller ball bearing at an early stage. This reliably prevents unexpected downtime.

Intuitive operation

The configurable one-button operation guides you clearly and comprehensively through the sampling process. The user interface is also reduced to the essentials and features large fonts and a clear color scheme. This significantly reduces operating errors and speeds up measurement.

It all depends on the air flow

For correct air monitoring, it is essential that the air flow of the air sampler and the total amount of air collected are correctly reported.

The exact collection volume defines the colony-forming units per volume (CFU/m3) found. In addition, the air flow determines the impact speed of the particles on the agar surface and thus influences the collection efficiency of the air sampler.

The accreditation of the air flow of the MAS-100 Regulus in our ISO 17025 calibration laboratory ensures that the displayed air flow and thus the selected collection volume of a germ collector are reliably within the specifications.

Perfection means never standing still and always improving your products. At MBV, we do just that.

As of March 2020, the MAS-100 Regulus digital anemometer replaced the previous DA-100 NT as the global standard. Production for the DA-100 NT is discontinued, repairs and calibrations are still possible.

FAQ

We recommend calibrating MAS-100 Iso instruments with a digital anemometer from MBV. Automatic calibration, including the creation of a calibration certificate, can be performed by connecting the anemometer to the MAS-100 Iso NT or MAS-100 Iso MH using an RS-232 cable.

Note: Calibration is made easier if an RS-232 cable is built into an isolator that connects the anemometer to the MAS-100 Iso base instrument for calibration/adjustment.

MBV and certified service providers also offer calibration services using a digital anemometer.

The MAS-100 Regulus digital anemometer has both a temperature and a pressure sensor. Temperature and pressure can be read on the display and recorded by the PC software. The instrument uses these sensors to convert the volumetric air flow into a mass flow.

The MAS-100 Regulus can display the air flow as both a volume flow and a mass flow.
