EXPERT QUICK TIP
SAMPLING AGAINST THE AIR FLOW
Do you know that for taking a representative air sample you always have to sample against the air flow? This is to prevent selective sampling of specific colony-forming particle sizes. Learn in this quick tip how air sampling against the flow direction works for your MAS-100 NT and MAS-100 Eco.
Each of our MAS-100 air sampler is accompanied by a Feller table. Have you ever asked yourself what this table is for and why it comes in blue and grey? In this quick tip we have the answer for you.
Pathogenic microorganisms can accumulate in ventilation systems. Therefore: Be careful and perform regular maintenance of the HVAC system. This includes a Hygiene Inspection according to VDI 6022/SWKI VA104-01. Our latest tutorial provids a perfect overview of this important air sampling process.
H2O2 DECONTAMINATION OF THE MICROBIAL AIR SAMPLER MAS-100 NT
Vaporized hydrogen peroxide H2O2 is routinely used in critical environments to bio-decontaminate surfaces and equipment. Together with one of the globally leading isolator manufacturers SKAN AG we have performed a detailed evaluation of the portable microbial air sampler MAS-100 NT regarding the decontamination with vaporized hydrogen peroxide.
In our application note "H2O2 Decontamination of viable air sampler MAS-100 NT" we have summarized the evaluation for you and demonstrate that the use of vaporized H2O2 has no negative effect on the instruments functionality.
APPLICATION-ORIENTED STANDARD FOR CLEANROOMS AND ASSOCIATED CLEANROOM AREAS SHORTLY BEFORE PUBLICATION
Biocontamination plays an important role for many applications in clean controlled environments. The currently valid standard for biocontamination control in cleanrooms and associated cleanroom areas ISO 14698-1&2 from 2003 will soon be replaced in the 34 member countries of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN).
Our expert Roland Durner is a technical expert for the Swiss Association for Standardization (SNV) in CEN/TC 243/WG5 (Biocontamination control). Find a preview of the most important upcoming changes regarding the new standard summarized here (in German).
