SIL_9_2011_MAS-100 NT Sampling head selection
We occasionally observe on customer instruments that the sampling head selected does not match the supplied head. Using a different sampling head then selected will lead to a deviation in sample volume.
SIL_7_2011_C&C SW 1.51 for MAS 100 NT_Ex
In the French language setting the user “calibreur” is not able to log in. The version 1.51
fixes this error.

SIL_5_2011_MAS-100 NT New Mainboard (HW Rev. 4)
As part of the continuous improvement activities the new production batch of MAS-100 NT / Ex Mainboards have been slightly modified. These changes are reflected in the HW Rev. 4 coding. The Rev.2 and Rev. 3 mainboards are working fine and do not need to be changed.
None of the main functionality or the internal SW has been changed.
SIL_4_2011_MAS-100 NT Upgrade (HW, FW V1.4 and C&C V1.5)
This service information letter explains the upgrade of the MAS-100 NT.
SIL_3_2011_MAS-100 RCT Battery Problem
If the mainboard is on stock for more than 1-1.5 years the RCT battery can be completely
empty. This Service Information Letter explains the technical background of this effect and how it can be solved.
SIL_1_2011_MAS-100 CG® Ex Adjustment
Up to now the precision of the MAS-100 CG® Ex mass flow was specified with a symmetrical
tolerance band of +/- 5%.
The result interpretation of most of our customers however is asymmetric: a negative deviation (too little air sampled) is considered worse than a positive one (too much air sampled).
MBV AG decided to bring the adjustment limits in line with the result interpretation: the specification of the instrument precision will change to +10 / -0%.
SIL Service information Letter 11_2010
MBV AG has temporary stopped the delivery of MAS-100® NT and MAS-100® NT Ex due to technical problems. Please refer to the service information letter and the biological result interpretation from Merck.
SIL Service information Letter 10_2010
Customers observed a “Low Battery” message before reaching the specified sampling
volume of 18’000 L.
SIL Service information Letter 10_2010
MBV has introduced a new battery type for the MAS-100 Eco® (Ansmann+max1.2V/4500mAh). Due to the higher capacity the charging time changes the 9 hours
mentioned in the manual to 14-16 hours.
SIL Service information Letter 10_2010
Customers observed an alternation in air flow on a DA-100 when changing from the manualcalibration menu to the manual adjustment menu. The observed deviation is typically in the
range of 5%.
