It’s 5m for the recommended diameter of ¾” and it depends on the amount of 90° angles. Longer pipes are possible but it has to be tested on site.
1. Set pump speed
(Service menu, Pneumatic Test)
Set pump speed = 50% or higher
ADC Flush flow must be > 600mV
Pump speed: _ _ %
-> ADC Flush Flow : _ _ _ ADC-Value [mV]
2. Set Flowguard Threshold
(Sterilisation Settings)
Deactivate “Used digital flow guard signal”
and adjust Flowguard Threshold approx. 200 mV below ADC Flush flow value
Flowguard Threshold value: _ _ _
3. Low flow alarm test
(All Devices menu)
Start sterilization and block the Flush exit on the MAS-100 NT if possible.
Error 95 (sterilisation flow to low) must occur in the PC-Software after a while.
Aknowledge alarm!
_ _ _ seconds until alarm occurs
-> Alarm signal stopped
The maximum flow rate which is measured by the flow sensor is 4 L/min. It depends on the length and the diameter of the tube as well as on the installation. Therefore no exact statements can be done.
If another PSU than the MBV PSU is used this error occurs if the voltage at the ISO is too low. Possible reasons: the output voltage of an external PSU is adjusted too low or the cables are too long / too thin or too many other units draw current from the same line.
At the current version of the FW the voltage monitoring of the unit is on the careful side (= warning is generated if the voltage drops for a short time). The next release will require a longer voltage drop before sending a warning.
The perforated sampling lid may be sterilized 20 Minutes at 121.
No! Only the sampling head is in the isolator. During sterilization a special valve unit on the outside of the isolator opens automatically or manually in order to sterilize the MAS-Sampling device.
Two sampling heads are available: A perforated sampling head in anodized aluminum or a stainless steel (pharmaceutical grade electro polished)
Portable instruments in general should not be used in isolators. The built in air fan motors are producing particles which will give high particle counts in the isolators. The electronic parts do not withstand high oxidizing gases which are used to sterilize the isolator. In MAS-100ISO all mechanical and electronic parts are outside the isolator and in no moment come into contact with oxidizing gases. The double valve system is built to sterilize the sampling head together with the isolator.
The MAS-100ISO air sampler works exactly the same way as the MAS-100 air sampler. It works therefore on the impaction principals. This is the preferred sampling method of FDA (Food and Drug Administration). The customer is free to choose any supplier of 90-100mm Agar Petri dishes and is not bound to just one supplier. The MAS-100 uses a double valve system which permits inline sterilization and does not use filter cartridges to prevent contamination of the isolator.
One MAS-CU Control unit I can connect 4 sampling heads. I can start the either one by one or all together.
The MAS-100 ISO Software will handle data from and to the Control-Units . Up to 40 sampling heads may be controlled. The data collected are: time of test, place, user, and the volume as well as a report of errors. It will also report on due calibration!
Each sampling head respectively the corresponding aspiration unit has a remote start option. The start switch may be mounted close to the sampling head. After sampling the test is printed on the Control unit.
Ask your local supplier for 90-100 mm Standard Petridishes with TSA-Agar (or equivalent for total count) which are double or triple packed and are sterilized by radiation.
The MAS-100ISO may be sterilized in-line together with the disinfection cycle of the isolator. The valves if connected to the electronics of the isolator are opened and closed automatically . If no external command is available the valve may be opened and closed with the MAS-100 CU Control Unit.
The MAS-100ISO is easily calibrated with the new DA-100 Digital-Anemometer.
