Please note that this figure is the worst case over the full measurement range. See the adjustment certificate for details (available on request).
What is the difference between the DA-100 Digital Anemometer and the MAS-100C Calibration unit?
Both instruments are made for flow calibration. The DA-100 is a turbine wing anemometer and is at least 20 times quicker than the MAS-100C Unit.
How do I calibrate the DA-100 Anemometer?
The DA-100 is delivered with a calibration certificate from a accredited Swiss federal laboratory. To recalibrate the DA-100 you may send it to a local laboratory or send it directly to the following address: MBV AG Service Department CH-6014 Littau Switzerland.
How frequently do I have to calibrate the DA-100?
We recommend to calibrate the DA-100 after approximately 2 years after the last calibration date.
The display on the DA-100 Anemometer is very weak
The battery is weak and has to be changed. The result displayed even on weak display is correct.
How can I change the battery in the DA-100 Anemometer?
Open the bottom plate with a perforated lid of an MAS-100 air sampler by turning counter clockwise. Remove old 9Volt battery and replace with a new one. Put the bottom plate back and screw it clock wise back . Do not remove any other parts from the DA-100.
How can I restart DA-100 if display is still on?
Just push the Start button for a few seconds and the DA-100 will switch to the waiting cycle and the start the measuring cycle.
Is it possible to calibrate MAS-100 with Serial. NO < 75000 with new DA-100 Anemometer?
It is absolutely no problem to calibrate old MAS-100 with DA-100. Just put the DA-100 on MAS-100 measure Volume and adjust K3 according to the deviation. Remark: If you compare the values obtained from DA-100 and MAS-100C (Calibration Unit) their might be a difference because we have changed the calibration procedure from point calibration to range calibration. Find more details in the DA-100 Manual. To correct the difference we supply an update electronic chip V 2.6x for the old MAS-100. Additional parameters are: K5 calibration factor for range calibration, delay on/off, calibration reminder, 5 individual programmable volumes and for calibration the MAS-100 has not to be opened again.
